The Souimanga Sunbird (Cinnyris sovimanga), native to Madagascar, is known for its iridescent plumage and graceful flight. These small birds are perfectly adapted for extracting nectar from flowers. A master of camouflague, the Giant Leaf-tailed Gecko (Uroplatus giganteus) is an evolutionary marvel. With its large, flattened body and leaf-shaped tail, it blends seemlesly into its forest habitat, making it nearly invisible to predators and prey alike! In fact, this photo was taken after I accidently grabbed this little giant without noticing it was right in front of me!

Brookesia stumpffi is just one of the Brookesia spp. found here. Their slow and gentle nature makes them very easy to observe, although you will need to spot them first!
Brookesia stumpffi is a master of camouflage and capable of altering the colour of its skin to best fit its surroundings.
